In the history of dance, there hasn’t been a choreography visually as impressive as Dance of A Thousand Hands.
The performance depicts Bodhisattva Guan Yin, Buddhist Goddess of Mercy that according to legend has 1000 arms and 1000 eyes. Perfecting this dance requires flawless synchronization between the dancers which makes this video that much more amazing because all 63 of them are deaf. They rely on the 6 directors in white, positioned around them to help them with visual cues.
It’s so mesmerizing I promise you won’t be able to look away.
